I hid it for years. The shirt tug, sucking it in whenever someone pulled out a camera. Now I finally feel like myself again. Less like a basketball, more comfortable in my own skin. These past few months I've actually been present - out in the yard with the kids instead of finding reasons to stay parked in front of the TV. Things with my wife are better too, and it's not really about how I look. It's how I feel. Hard to put into.
